About Me

Welcome. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.

I have been in the field of education since 2007. Here are some of the roles I’ve had in that time:

  • Education Specialist in both the classroom and resource settings, where I provided differentiated instruction in reading, writing and math.

  • Case-manager for a wide range of students, with extensive experience writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, and Student Support Plans.

  • Academic Dean of a Bay Area high school where I created, implemented and oversaw a whole-school reading intervention program, and trained and coached teachers in best practices for supporting students in academic, executive functioning and behavioral skills.

  • Assistant Principal of a Los Angeles middle school where I coached new and veteran teachers, oversaw the Special Education Department and led professional development for staff.

  • Parent navigating each of my own children's unique needs and challenges, drawing on my experience as an educator to find the best services available.

In 2020, I spent the year homeschooling my three young children. While my own children are back to in-person learning in their school environment, the opportunity to work one-on-one and in small groups inspired me to return to school to receive my Post Master's Educational Therapist Certificate.

I strongly believe that comprehensive support can and should be accessible to all students and families.
